2010 was a trip for everyone it seems. It appears no one’s pretending otherwise or to be sorry 2011’s here. That being said – I always seem to find a way to dig the ride regardless of how bumpy. In the spirit of ushering out the ‘bumps’ of 2010 & ushering in 2011 with a huge exhale here are a few images of the last few days here in NYC. The blizzardΒ hit hard, so you’ll notice very few involve my 2nd home, the Underground ’cause, as you’ll see nothing was moving here, not even the trains. However you’ll get to see what happens when nature dumps all it’s excess snow on us in one go & how we here in the Big Apple celebrate a new year! Feliz Ano Nuevo everyone! May 2011 grant you your wildest & most creative dreams & don’t forget to dream big! π
The snowstorm hit with vengeance leaving vacant 42nd Street in it's path
More snow & an empty 42nd St from 45 stories up
Not much movin'!

Poor bike!
Abandoned car
After the storm, one of the last sunsets of 2010 over the Hudson - looks like summer, right? Well, except for the snow π
On to NYE in Manhattan, after a day of giggin' underground to every NYPD on the force as they patrolled the city NYE style, I was lucky enough to sepnd it w/ friends & my favourite pooch, TONKA! π I'm one happy girl!
We have fun : )
On the roof of my friend's apartment watiing for the ball to drop in Times Square. It's what we do here π
After the ball drop - happy, happy!
Me after midnight : )
HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE!!!! LIVE FROM YOUR HEART & MAKE IT COUNT!

Hi everyone! Merry Merry & Happy everything else that you celebrate out there above ground :)Last night, Christmas Eve, I busked 59th St and the vibe was nothing short of magical. People returning from shopping, headed out to holiday parties, all smiling and wishing me a Merry Christmas. Such a joyous underground π I also had a gift of some good new this week. I had not see Danny, (the ‘Underground Pavorotti of Soul’ as I call him) in a long while and his phone was out & for the past 4-5 days I’d been worried sick about him. I looked everywhere for him underground but could not see or hear him anywhere. And the thing is Danny never misses a day – ever. He sings the trains 7 days a week 1-4 hrs a day 365 days a year. So, yeah, I was definitely worried.
Finally, last night after I packed up, right before I hopped on the train, I asked a couple who were playing the Downtown side of 59th if they had seen him. “Oh, yeah, Danny, I seen him yesterday. Yeah – he’s good. His phone’s all messed up though. He’s just been movin’ ’round ‘some cause of the cold” omg – you have no idea what a relief getting that news was. I had been so worried I’d been imagining a life w/out seeing or hearing Danny and it felt more than crushing to me. I will definitely be grabbing his address and contact info for his band so I’ll never have to worry needlessly again.
Big sigh of relief! Thank God he’s alright. To hear he’s just fine was the best Xmas gift ever.
Below are a few shots of my friends Juan Carlos and Duane spending Xmas afternoon @ Rockefeller Center gawking at the tree and lights π Marry Christmas!
