Your tax dollars hard at work fighting crime and wandering musicians Underground in NYC, NY – Note the stomping foot that begins at the cops approach – Frustrated much??? 🙂
Hmmm…so you have a permit to perform? I find it hard to believe there are actual police on this beat…making sure there are no non-permitted musicians performing…what the? :0 (The video is great – but it was not “directed” by anyone…just shot by someone. 😉 Keep it up!
They seem to do whatever they choose – that’s the whole problem. It’s not illegal to take photos, film – everyone does. I have video taken of me dozens of times a day underground. So, of course people video and take pics all the time. But the cops get power hungry and harassing at times. For anything, throwing gum in a trash can and missing, taking photographs, video, singing, the list goes one…
I actually met the guy who won a case some years back – dunno if I can find it, but here’s some conversation on the subject:

Oh-not directed at all-just random stuff that happens all the time, this time there happened to be a camera in the room : )
Funny thing is – the cops had no idea…had they known they were being filmed they’d have confiscated the camera & left me alone.
They didn’t really need 4 to ‘deal’ w/ me I doubt…but whatever
: )
Is it LEGAL for the cops to confiscate a camera if they think they are being filmed???
