(They come in white & “vintage” black, your choice)

So, there ya go – two gifts knocked off your shopping list for the price of one! How’s that for efficiency ! 🙂

I also wanted to share with you guys a very special interview I just completed with a Canadian reporter  MicheleAndreee Lemieux – she posed some thought provoking questions, the answers to which you might find interesting…

So, I’m on the train and ti’s still a new adventure to me. In fact it probably always will. The NYC Subways always is. I pull my guitar strap over my head & start in on a tune.Playing the train cars is a delicate balance of emotion. volume, shading and most of all energy. You have under 2 minutes to grab the energy of the souls sitting on the seats and mix your vibration with theirs creating a dialogue, a dance if you will with a good 150 or so people. Once done, peoples hands go out, up & sideways holding up bills, and as the train nears the station & I get ready to jump off & head to the next car,I hear a voice coming from the middle of the train say; “Excuse me, miss, coud you play another. Please?” I turn to look & see where the voice is coming from and it’s a man with glasses sitting in the middle of the train car, reading a book. I look over to him, then somewhat undecided to the rest of the car full of people,  who sense my question & erupt in applause in support of the man’s request; “Another, yes, another…” It’s funny on the cars.Sometimes you think people may be unreachable by the first visual, but you are quickly reminded, everyone is reachable through music. Everyone is reachable through love. ♥

I’ll be busking two rockin’ shows this week – the DIVAS UNDERGROUND show this Thurs from 12PM – 7PM at the Mezzanine at Union Square and the Grand Opening of the new NFL Pop Up Store here in NYC this Monday April, 2nd from 11:30 AM – 12:30 PM

We’re even ‘sproutier’ now in the PM of Day #5 : )

Hi guys! How is everyone surviging this more than serious winter? Well, the days are at least getting longer so that’s a hint of better things to come! 🙂

In the last week or so lots of fun things have been happening above ground.

First, Tyear Middleton of Tyeartv interviewed me & reviewed The Subway Diaries on her show, followed closely by  rockin’ interview on ‘LIve It Up TV”-WLNY-TV w/ host Donna Drake. Donna’s show has an impresive following of 15 Million viewers so this should be fun when aired!

I’ll fill you in just as soon as I’m sent the air dates for both.

And, here’s a mid-winter pick me up! Join me and a host of other ‘fantabulous’ artists and performers @ the Feb 14th “Missed Connections Party”

Find your Missed Connection @ the New York Transit Museum on Valentine’s Day!

So – hang in there everyone & Happy Valentine’s Day!!!

My good friend & Japanese sociologist, Saburo Horikowa, came to take pictures of the underground just one week before the horrific 8.9 earthquake and successive Tsunami hit his country. He has reported that he is finally back with his family now but that the nuclear threat is looming and serious His words will move you, both honest and raw – he is grateful for any words of support you wish  to leave:  http://www.thesubwaydiaries.com/blog/from-my-friend…-on-japan-pray_1123/

I’ll be performing(above ground) this week & per his wishes above, singing for the entire situation in Japan – sending a percentage of the proceeds from  the gigs to Japan via the Red Cross. Please come out and support if you’re in the NYC area as Saburo, his family and all of Japan need every bit of support you can lend.
